“In the beginning, God created………” Genesis 1:1a

In the early times of the earth, people often live to enjoy what is before them due to the impulse within them that any moment after that time all might be taken from them. This prompted for their inability to do beyond their present, thinking that the future holds no good for them ”No better than now, whatever I make of myself, I will enjoy it all to the fullest of moments, times and desire in my singular wish”- they say. This became rampant that greed set in. This continued quietly for a long time before this great message – The message for creations.

I was sitting right in my office on a cold Wednesday morning. I opened my bible out of the context of the current dull happenings. The generating plant the office uses was in a bad shape to the extent there was no power supply in the whole building – work premise. This tiring, boring and dull environ moved me to pick up my bible and flipping through the pages, I, at first fount out some words for thought………….

Introductory note 

Life can be so tough. The challenges and difficulties of finding one’s footing in a world full of competition, opposition and herculean tasks can be intimidating, daunting and overwhelming, if there is no proper guidance and direction from the word of God.

“How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and

A light for my part” Psalm 199:103, 105 (NLT)

In its ending parts, the introductory note was concluded with……

It is our prayer that your glorious and golden future will not be truncated and hindered as you discover and live your God ordained life and dream.”

Drawing closer to my points, I yawned as I began to think about those words…… flipping continually through the next page, I saw wonderful word to move my actions……….

Those were the very first words from God to you, I and to mankind – “In the beginning, God created……” Genesis 1:1

OUR PAST!

Some years ago, before we came into existence, some things existed out of nothing and were set in the middle of those things that existed to nurture, develop and make new things if possible from them. During this process, intentions were intercepted, distracted and shattered, thus putting a stop to the upward movement of things which existed.

The intrusion gave rise to a 360º change of the intention of the created (you and I), we could not easily picture our beginning, the good times we had with others and still longed to have.

Years came and years vanished the sighting of a road on a valley from afar {Mirage}, our hopes of getting back to where we started is dashing and becoming more faded that the physical eyes cannot see. Then, it occurred wrongly to us that we can get alone to make things happen but we never knew we have lost our manuals (how to do the things to be done – new things rightly).

We intended to work things out but we never knew how the process should go. We wanted to build but we didn’t have the tools (hammer, nails etc.) we dared to develop but due to the shades on our memory, we never recollected the pictures of doing things the right way. We were stunned at our very growth, nothing good came out of us, we needed help but where do we find it? North! South! East! Or West! Not anyone! Absolutely none!

We carved a lot of time, moments, sleepless nights, thinking, weeping, crying and dying to make it right by ourselves, all but to no avail.

A time came when we saw what was like the solution in our very eyes; we never knew they all were ways leading to more downfalls. We had gone a through lot, we recorded the memories and held to them like events of time will never change, generations passed after each other, deaths of old and birth of new ones, marriages were done, fornication became very rampant, the richer existed, the poorer became jealous, they watched after themselves for harm’s sake. The deep hatred and darkness sort itself out, instead of nurturing, developing and making new, we hosted enmity among others because we could not remember who we were and how it all started.

After years of ups and downs, solution arose in mind by the Holy Spirit at His time. Now, we were tired and needed a flashback to take us back before time began. The flashback started and we all watched continuously until it got to portions were we saw everything that existed as good and purposeful including ourselves.

Following after series of playbacks, I paused to see what happened at a point in verse 26 of Genesis chapter 1-

                        “Then God said, let us human beings in our own image, to be like us.

                             They will reign over the fish in the sea, birds in the sky, the livestock,

          all the wild animals on the earth and the small animals that scurry around the ground.”

 At a point, we perceive that we are created by an intention for an intention – {paused}

BY WHAT INTENTIONS!

The creator (God) created us humans (in form of flesh made from dust) beings (that have life, can breath, move and hope) in His image (to look exactly the way he looks, acts, thinks and decides, the very same way that He (The creator) is, to be like Him.  Afterwards, He thought of giving us [purpose 1] which is to REIGN [rule, have authority, dominion, power, ability to control, lead, build, create, take care, etc) over the fish (all kinds of fishes) in the sea (including the sea), the birds (all kinds of birds) in the sky (including the sky), the livestock and all wild animals on the earth and small animals that scurry along the ground (exercise authority) rule over the whole earth)]

In Genesis 1 verse 27 – “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God, he created them. Male and female, he created them”.

FOR WHAT INTENTIONS

After the process of creation and all the power and authority give to them, he needed to give us another purpose [2] in verse 28 – “Then God blessed them and said, “Be FRUITFUL and MULTIPLY. Fill the earth and govern it…”, this means, as I have created you in my image, begin to also create things that will reflect me, both humans in reproduction and non-living things in hand work.

At this point, a question came to mind – then why have we not being able to do things rightly? This is because we have never asked from the owner of His intentions, whether he wants the things we want to create to be or to know if it will reflect His glory at every point in time.

Having known that our hearts are needed to be able to create new things according to the purpose of the creator, then how do we put it to work?

- Eradicate all bad things in our heart in form of unholy thoughts

- Ask for the Holy Spirit to sanctify our heart

- Pray and ask God for the need to create

Hold on, all these work only on one condition. Are you born again? It is a big question though simple [have you given your life to Christ?] He was the Son of God sent from God to die for our wrongs and cleanse us thereby making us new creatures again, for in our old nature we could not create anything that is new, right and good. Therefore, I urge you to give your life to Christ now where you are

THE QUESTION IS HOW?

Simply repeat after me…

O Lord Jesus, I am not counting myself as righteous but as a sinner that needs to be cleansed and made right. Please forgive for all my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come and dwell in me and lead me to newness in all things. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
